Every project starts with a visit to your home. We measure every wall, check that floors are level and walls are plumb, note where plumbing, outlets, vents and windows sit, and talk through how you actually use the room. Then we draw a layout, go over door styles, finishes, box materials and hardware with you, and put it all into a written, itemized quote.

South Florida changes some of the choices. The wet season runs from May through October, with high heat and humidity, and the city is laced with canals and close to salt water. That affects which box materials, finishes and hardware hold up, especially in bathrooms, laundry rooms, garages, homes that sit closed up for part of the year, and anything outdoors. We explain the trade-offs in plain terms instead of pushing one material for every room.

Paperwork matters too. Condo owners often need written approval from the association before work starts, and many buildings set rules for elevator use, work hours and contractor documents. In single-family homes, Fort Lauderdale now lets some cosmetic, non-structural work under $7,500, including cabinet replacement, skip a building permit, but only after the city approves a request in writing; plumbing, electrical and gas changes still need permits.
